Mrs. Tettemer - Technology

Hello My Name Is...

Mrs. Tettemer

Welcome to Technology!

Hi Students!

I miss all of you and hope you are staying safe and healthy! I have created a Technology Google Classroom for each grade level and have listed the codes below. ***When on Google Classroom, please look up to the tabs at the top and click STREAM instead of Classwork because STREAM will list the lessons and activities in order that I would like you to complete them. Classwork lists everything by topic, but will be more confusing trying to figure out the current lesson. I will post a date with each assignment, so you will know when I would like you to complete them. (If there is no date listed, then I have not assigned it to you yet.)

**Please check Google Classroom every week for your lessons.

Kindergarten: dpa4iqj
Grade 1: huoc2fv
Grade 2: 45vr6uf
Grade 3: gh7uvd3
Grade 4: fs3mbdf

Grades 3 and 4, you are familiar with accessing and completing assignments on Google Classroom so check my Google Classroom for your weekly assignment. Have fun and be creative!

Grade 2, I had planned to introduce you to our Technology Google Classroom the week of March 16th, but as you know, this is the week we started learning from home. If you would like to access this Google Classroom and try the activities I have assigned, please use the code listed above.

Kindergarten and Grade 1, as younger students you would normally not have a Google Classroom until second grade, but these are unusual times so some of you may already be comfortable with accessing Google Classroom since you may be doing this with your classroom teachers. I will post your lessons on my web page (which is where you are now) and also to the Google Classrooms using the codes above. The choice is yours.

Grades K-1
For the week of June 1st
Please try to join either your Kindergarten or Grade 1 Technology Google Classroom so you can be a part of our fun lesson and create your very own robot! I hope to see you there!

Take Care,
Mrs. Tettemer

I am looking forward to working with all of your wonderful children and am so excited about all of the possibilities this year will bring! We are very busy in our weekly technology classes as we incorporate the State and District Technology Standards with Project Based Learning.

                                    ***Munger Hill is completely wireless!***

Our computer lab has an open floor plan with blue carpet, tables instead of desks, an Epson Interactive Projector and Whiteboard, 30 computers with flat screen monitors, and an iPad cart with 25 iPads. We also have an additional computer lab with 25 computers in the library. Teachers can sign up to bring their classes to work on various programs and projects. Every grade level also has a Chromebook or iPad cart so online learning using various programs can happen daily in class.

All classrooms are equipped with desktop computers or Chromebooks, as well as projectors, speakers and Hover Cams provided by our PTO! Students benefit by having more time using various types of technology.

Each week, grades K-4 will come to the technology lab for a 40 minute block of computer instruction and application. Students work independently and collaboratively on lessons and projects. Technology lessons will introduce the students to Internet Safety, Coding, Keyboarding Skills, Word Processing, creating Slideshow Presentations and Spreadsheets, as well as, working with various software and websites such as, Kidspiration, Kid Pix 3D, Book Creator, Tux Math, Tux Typing, ST Math, Sheppard Software and many more. Students will also learn Digital Literacy, including how to evaluate websites, so they will know which ones are safe and contain factual information. This is of growing importance so kids can stay safe in our ever changing digital world! All Westfield Public Schools have converted over to the Google Suite of Applications including Google Classroom for all students grades K-12! Second, third and fourth grade students will learn Google Classroom, Docs, Sheets, Slides and Forms. We will regularly incorporate science into our technology units, so students will become familiar with programs that develop analyzing and recording skills.

Our school has lots of technology! This additional technology allows students more time on various devices to develop their instructional technology skills.

A big "Thank You" to everyone who donated classroom supplies! I truly appreciate your generosity! Please feel free to contact me at Munger Hill with any questions you may have. My email address is: and our school's phone number is (413) 572-6520.
