Physical Education/ Health
P.E. at Munger Hill will continue to be active and exciting this year!
Students will learn about Movement Concepts and Skill Themes in Grades K-2.
Grades 3-5 will be focusing on building interpersonal relationships through
a variety of team building games. They will also engage in traditional team
sports units such as soccer, basketball, football, and lacrosse.
All students will learn about Health, Wellness, and Fitness through out the
year. Students will have experiences with Yoga, rock climbing, and creative
play. It is my mission as a graduate of Springfield College to teach a
balanced approach to Physical Education. What can you do to help maintain
this balance? Please make sure that your child comes prepared to move on the
day he or she has Physical Education. Sneakers must be worn in the gym; so
please help them to remember to bring them on their Physical Education day.
Students should try to wear active gear to school on their P.E. day also.
Please encourage your child to be active more than the 40 minuets a week that
they see me. The more they move, the healthier they will become. Thank you
